#ShopYourCraftStash Remarkable You

Hello Stampers ~ I love shopping when it does not cost me anything a with my #ShopYourCraftStash Remarkable You idea today.

As many of you read this I will be on a plane heading to California.  I get to spend the next week and a half with my new grandson.  I can’t believe he is already a month old.  Josh and Michaela do a great job of sharing pictures so we can see how much he is growing.  Despite seeing lots of pics there is nothing like holding that baby in your arms.  We do not have plans to do anything as Michaela is still getting her mommy feet stable.  We will take a few days to do some shopping as I have to get Michaela’s Christmas present of some new clothes.  We will do over several visits so she does not get tired and Jake does not get over stimulated.  I will be glad just to sit and hold him as much as I can since when I leave I don’t know when I will be back.

I have another #ShopYourCraftStash idea today.  The Lily Impressions dsp in the Sale-a-bration catalog has images of lilies all over it.  I remembered a set from a few years ago that had a lily in it and I loved using it.  I went looking in my retired sets and found I still had it.  I pulled it out to use for today’s card.  I began by stamping the lily from the set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I then did some quick watercoloring using Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green.  Since I used Whisper White card stock I had to do it quickly so the ink did not smear.  I did heat set the ink before I began.  After it had dried, I cut it down and mounted it onto a piece of Flirty Flamingo card stock.  For my card base I used Whisper White.  A strip of the Lily Impressions dsp was cut and mounted onto a piece of 2 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ Bermuda Bay card stock.  This panel was then added to the bottom of the card front.  The watercolored lily panel was mounted on the right hand side of the card front using dimensionals.  Here is the completed #ShopYourCraftStash Remarkable You creation.
